St. Matthew’s Catholic School has a 100+ year tradition of providing a quality education to our students. The mission of St. Matthew’s is to provide an education of academic excellence, a love for learning and spiritual development, while fostering strong Catholic values. We really could not do what we do without the efforts and support of our school family.
Our parent community continues to make the sacrifices necessary to help provide a quality Catholic education at our school for their children but they also do much more via volunteering, financial support for our fundraising activities, and through their prayers for our students, faculty, and administration.
Our Faculty and Administration continually strive to move our school forward in all areas whether academic, extra-curricular, or in our school communities Catholic identity. Providing each student with a solid educational and spiritual foundation is of utmost importance to help them achieve their goals and dreams.
We have many supporters who fully understand the important role we play in the Flathead Valley community and want to help us continue that 100+ year tradition for years to come. These benefactors attend our yearly auction, contribute financially to our school, help with scholarships, and offer great insight and expertise to our school.
Gifts to Flathead Association for Catholic Education (F.A.C.E.), are an essential component of the ongoing success of our school. Donating to F.A.C.E. offers the opportunity to have a positive impact of St. Matthew’s students today. When you donate to F.A.C.E., the principal remains intact and only the proceeds go to funding St. Matthew’s School.
Being a supporter to the “Make a Saint” scholarship is essentially helping to sponsor a child in their financial needs so that they are able to attend Catholic school.
The simple concept: St. Matthew’s purchases gift cards, or Scrip, from popular retailers at a discount. Parents and parishioners then buy the gift cards from the school at face value. The money raised helps to offset tuition costs for students and to raise money for our school.
Earn money for tuition by using this program for the things that you buy everyday - gas, groceries, home repair, eating out, gifts, etc. You can do this and so can family and friends. One parishioner couple purchased Scrip throughout the year and earned $400, to be given to a family in need.
Raise Right and the Scrip Program are no-selling programs that allow families to raise money that can go towards their student’s tuition costs by purchasing gift cards for or using the Raise Right app at participating stores. Funds earned can be used for your family’s tuition or you can designate for another family.
The following businesses participate in script. These gift cards can only be purchased at the parish office.

Think you don’t have the time or energy to use Scrip and/or Raise Right? The pros most definitely outweigh the cons. A total of $33,195.08 was raised by families to offset the cost of tuition and we give 100% of this back to the families. The top three families that earned money to be applied to their 2024-25 tuition earned the following amounts (we will credit their tuition):
The first place family has saved $4,914 dollars!
The runners up have saved $3,641 and $3,570 off their tuition!
This just shows that it is rewarding to plan ahead and get your Scrip before you purchase.
